Powerful Voices Recieves Seattle Foundation Grant to enhance Girls RAP after- school program.
September 2004

The Seattle Foundation has invested in Powerful Voices' Girls RAP after-school program.  This Out-of-School Time Initiative grant will build our program's infrastructure in the areas of evaluation, curriculum development and staff training.    "We appreciate the work your organization is doing to improve out-of-school time for the children in our community" states Seattle Foundation President/CEO Phyllis Campbell.    The grant not only provides financial support, but also offers up to 6 hours of direct consultation and technical assistance from School's Out Washington,  a statewide organization that provides services and guidance for organizations to ensure all young people have safe places to go when not in school.     "We're thrilled with the opportunity this grant provides for us and will look forward to strengthening our after-school program through this new partnership", remarks Julie Edsforth, Executive Director.
