Overlake School Benefits Powerful Voices
March 2004
Students at the Overlake School selected Powerful Voices as the beneficiary of this year's Spring Concert.  The students read about Powerful Voices through the Reader's Care Fund series in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer last winter, and were inspired to support the girls served by PV.  Jennifer Drapkin, Girls RAP Program Manager, attended the concert and spoke about what makes Powerful Voices such a unique girl-centered organization.   Thanks to the dedication of the Overlake students, and to the generosity of the audience, the concert raised $2,581 for Powerful Voices' programs.  Such support from the community will help the girls in our programs to continue to learn, to grow and to thrive!
