Powerful Choices is our 8 week in-school program that happens in both the fall and spring. We are in the classrooms twice a week with 6th-8th grade girls* exploring important topics like healthy relationships, identity, having pride in your own ethnicity! We also hold office hours at the school twice a week to host 1:1 support. Girls* work towards specific projects and present them at a celebration that recognizes each of their accomplishments, celebrates their talents, and learn how this program has made a difference.

Do you want to get creative this summer and use art to create positive social change? Do you want to create the kind of messages that girls should get that are made by other girls?

#Blvckgrrlsrising: Call the Shots

#BlvckGrrlsRising was a brand new collaboration between Reel Grrls and Powerful Voices! This 2-week long summer program was created for Black-identifying and African-identifying girls* ages 12-14. Girls* took charge of their own power as leaders, artists, activists, and digital storytellers which enabled them to learn about issues in their community, create their own stories.
