Activistas
Activistas (AVs) is a 16-week program of Powerful Voices in which BIPOC girls and gender expansive youth age 14-19 engage in self-exploration, dialogue, community building and project development rooted in social justice values such as healing justice, intersectionality, and collective liberation. Activistas will step into the power of their voice and experiences as they turn their individual passions and strengths into collective action, ultimately presenting a project on a topic(s) of their choice at a culminating event. All Activistas will be paired with an Adult Ally who will learn alongside you and support you in planning and carrying out the project you decide on.
Project examples: teach-in, open mic, protest/action, zine, workshop, clothing swap, art piece
