 Artivism

Extended Deadline to Apply: July 18, 2025

Powerful Voices is excited to bring back Artivism for our third year– a paid internship where a cohort of BIPOC girls and gender expansive youth will learn and explore THREE art mediums from September - November that will culminate in a community arts showcase! Through Artivism, you will expand your creativity, explore the intersections of art and activism, and learn what a career in the arts can look look like.

Artivism is a 11-week arts intensive for high school-aged girls and gender expansive youth of color. You will explore three art disciplines in two-week increments, and create unique pieces to display at a youth expo at the end of November. If you are a current or incoming high schooler between the ages of 14-18 who is ready to build community and explore art forms you have OR have never tried before, this may be a great fit for you!
