Ziya is a queer, Bangladeshi organizer who has spent the past six years soaking up the beauty of queer, abolitionist, and anti-colonial movement-building in the US South. Ziya is passionate about thoughtful, vibrant design and communications, building up strong, connected, multifaceted, joyful communities, and collectively imagining and enacting a world rooted in liberation. Ziya received a B.A. in Migration, Human Rights, and Citizenship from Duke University. They approach their work with creativity and care, with much of their work having focused on building power within Asian American, AMEMSA, and BIPOC communities - especially with young people. You can find Ziya analyzing their favorite TV show, sprawled out in a park, encouraging their cat, Tushti, to fight the system, or browsing in a bookstore.
